Aga Hall Estate awarded Iconic Residential Project of the Year

The Economic Times of India named the Aga Hall Estate in Mumbai as the “Iconic Residential Project of the Year” at the ET Realty Real Estate Awards ceremony earlier this week. The award recognises the innovative project, which has uplifted the surrounding neighborhood.

Created by The Economic Times, the annual award ceremony acknowledges exceptional service, innovation, and meaningful contributions to improve the community and nation, through the real estate industry.

The Aga Hall Estate is an upcoming residential complex consisting of two towers in South Mumbai with sea and garden views. With a Jamatkhana at its centre, an international standard school adjacent, and a hospital close by, the estate will offer residents a convenient and holistic lifestyle.

Rooted in history, the Aga Hall Estate was established in 1848 as a distinguished residential domain by Mawlana Hasan Ali Shah, Aga Khan I. Over the years, it has witnessed Bombay's evolution into a thriving international hub, while representing the city's historical roots. The estate stands as a testament to heritage and sophistication, having been home to Mawlana Ali Shah, Aga Khan II; and Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah, Aga Khan III.

Aiming for an atmosphere of serenity, the project will feature a Jamatkhana at its heart along with eight meticulously designed gardens that cover more than half of the estate’s total area.

The Aga Khan Development Network will also develop a state-of-the-art hospital across the street and an IB school adjacent to the towers. These facilities will provide top-notch medical care and exceptional education opportunities for the broader community.

In recognition of its eco-friendly credentials—including reduced waste and emissions, and improved indoor environmental quality—the project has been certified by both the World Bank through its recognised EDGE rating system and the Indian Green Buildings Council through its Platinum Pre-Certification for sustainable development.

Construction of the project is in full swing with Australia based CIMIC group company Leighton Asia as the general contractor. The building’s plinth was completed in November last year, and its 5th podium will be ready in April 2024. Approximately 50 percent of the apartments have been sold off plan.
