Set against the stunning backdrop of the mountains of Naryn and Khorog, the University of Central Asia's Class of 2023 will graduate on 16 June during a multi-campus convocation event, which will be aired live on The Ismaili TV.

The University of Central Asia (UCA) is a secular university focused on improving the quality of life of mountain societies. UCA was founded by a unique agreement between the three Central Asian governments and the Ismaili Imamat. UCA has invested significant efforts in its research agenda, to better understand the needs of mountain societies and to help identify opportunities to improve the quality of life of these communities. In addition to world class undergraduate programmes, UCA also offers a number of programmes tailored to improving the livelihoods of mountain societies.

The convocation event will be attended by UCA’s Board of Trustees including Princess Zahra, who will deliver a message from Mawlana Hazar Imam, the Chancellor of the University. The keynote speaker will be Anita Zaidi, President of the Gender Equality Division at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Aga Khan University graduate.

Government officials from the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan will also be in attendance.
