From 1 to 6 August, World Youth Day 2023 (WYD) will take place in Lisbon: a great meeting of young people from all over the world with Pope Francis. It is at once a pilgrimage, a celebration of youth, an expression of the universal Church, and a powerful moment of unity for the world of youth. It is an invitation to a generation determined to build a more just and united world.
There are several areas in which we, as active agents of civil society, can be involved as volunteers:
- Communication / Social Media Management / Photography / Video
- Medicine / Nursing / First aid / Psychology
- Event organisation / Transport of people and/or goods
- Tourist visits / Information points
- Hospitality / Catering / Reception
- Artistic and cultural animation / Music / Arts / Management of cultural projects
- Administrative work / Accounting
- Database management / Network administration / Programming
- Among many other areas
Volunteers will be allocated in order of registration and on the basis of their profiles and skills, in order to respond to the needs identified by the Organizing Committee.
