We invite the Jamat to a special week of reflection through daily articles focused on inspirations from the Qur’an.

The AKDN strives to bring people out of poverty and enable them to participate in the social and economic mainstream. Instead of simply giving people money or food, which are most certainly needed, the AKDN instead teaches people how to save their own money and provide food for their families themselves. This approach to poverty alleviation gives hope because it retains people’s own dignity and makes them self-reliant.

“Training and development of volunteer educators is a key priority of ITREB USA. During these sessions, participants engage with IIS scholars and each other to improve their pedagogical skills and content delivery. Crucially, we discussed ways in which they can facilitate the Jamat’s inquiries around their own faith, strengthen their sense of belonging in the community, and help them navigate contemporary ethical dilemmas.”

Its resolution notes that mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue are important dimensions of a culture of peace. We take a look at some initiatives taken by the US Jamat to reach out to members of other faith traditions.
