Parking, Drop-Off, and Pickup

Free parking on the site has been negotiated for the Jamat. In the event of free parking lot being full, Jamat will be directed to additional discounted parking also located on the site.

Arrangements have been made for a limited number of free parking stalls at the Blue and Yellow parking lots on a first come, first served basis. Once all the free parking stalls have been occupied, paid parking is available at various lots across the campus. Parking is limited, so please plan accordingly.

Due to conflicting events on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at GWCC, there will be heavy traffic and finding parking will be extremely difficult and will not be free.  Jamat is urged to plan ahead to allow sufficient time for traffic as well as walking from offsite lots. We humbly request Jamati members to use hotel shuttles, rideshare and carpool.

Snack Stations

For the Jamats’ comfort, a refreshment station with tea, water, and dry snacks will be available prior to security checkpoints.

Refreshment Bags

After clearing security, each member of the Jamat will be provided a light refreshment bag as they enter the various ceremonies. These bags will consist of sweet and savory snack items as well as bottled water.

Snack Box

Upon exiting any morning Mulaqat sessions, the Jamat will be provided with a small, boxed snack that they will be able to take with them. A prayer gathering and a light dinner will follow ceremonies taking place in the evening.

Light Dinner

Meals consisting of South Asian food, including a non-vegetarian and vegetarian entrée and a non-South Asian, kid-friendly option along with mithai, water and tea will be served at all Jamatkhanas and Overflow facilities throughout the Houston and Atlanta area. All city locations will be served the same menu.

Please note that items may be substituted for similar options. Menu and selections are subject to change.

While every effort has been made to consider various age groups, tastes and allergies, the Jamat is encouraged to maintain vigilance in managing their specific dietary restrictions and plan accordingly.
