Kitab Corner - Frequently Asked Questions

The Kitab Corner postal service enables individuals and families to request devotional material, curriculum books, and other publications to be sent to their homes during the temporary closure of Jamatkhanas. For any enquiries, please this list of frequently asked questions.

How can I choose a book?
Please view this page for a list of books in stock, choose one you’d like to order, and send a request by email. You will receive an acknowledgement of dispatch once the book has been posted to you.

How long will it take to receive my book?
Royal Mail has stipulated that the postal service is running slow due to staff shortages and priority being given to medical supplies at this time. Once you receive your acknowledgement of dispatch, we suggest you allow seven days for your delivery to arrive.

Will the Postal worker ring my doorbell and give me an envelope?
If the book you order does not fit into a mailbox, the postal worker will ring your doorbell and leave the envelope on your doorstep. S/He will observe social distancing guidelines, and stay two metres away from you.

Can I order a book if I live in Mainland Europe?
Yes you can order a book if you live in mainland Europe in exactly the same way as a UK resident, however please check local delivery times with your local post office.

How can I return my book?
You do not need to return your book - you may keep it in your home. If you wish, you may return your book when Jamatkhanas re-open. There is no need to post it back to us.

How many Books can I order at a time?
We are accommodating order requests of a maximum of two books at this time. If you have a special reason for needing more, please contact us on [email protected] and someone will respond and try and help you.

Why is there a limit to the amount of books we can order?
We have a limited amount of stock and it is difficult to procure new stock at this time as most printing presses are on lockdown. We would like to support as many families and Jamati members as we can, and we ask for you to help us in keeping your order small so we can support everyone who reaches out to us. However if there is a good reason as to why you need more, please email us at [email protected] and we will see what further help we can provide.

Can I order a book for a family member?
Yes you can order a book for a family member but this book will be registered under the name submitted on the form.

Can I order any Children’s books?
Yes we have a small selection of children’s books and these are noted in the PDF list under the children’s section, please click here.

Do you have any CDs or audio that I can borrow?
Yes we do have a small selection of audio CDs and DVDs available. Please click here to see our selection.

What happens if a book is out of stock?
We will inform you that the book you have ordered is out of stock and we will offer you a similar alternative. The book most probably will not come back in stock until after the lockdown.

Do you have any books available for non-English speaking Jamati members?
Yes we have a very small selection of books in Arabic, Farsi, and Gujarati - these are available upon request only.  Please email us on [email protected]
