Coronavirus Employment Law - Part 2

Coronavirus Employment Law Q&A with Sheila Aly, Employment Barrister - Part 2
(Date: 19/05/20)

Many members of the Jamat are now having to deal with the complexities of employment law. This is an area that will become even more pressing as Government support for employers begins to be removed. We are also now facing the prospect of a prolonged and deep recession.

The Aga Khan Economic Planning Board in collaboration with the National Conciliation and Arbitration Board has produced a detailed video to help members of the Jamat - both employers and employees - understand some of the key questions related to this issue.

Sheila Aly is an employment law barrister and partner at Aly and Hulme Associates. She has been involved in a number of high profile cases and is regularly sought for comment by the media. Sheila also sits on NCAB - the National Conciliation and Arbitration Board.

Join Parviz Lakha and Sheila Aly as they answer some common questions relating to employment law following the announcement by the Prime Minister Bor Johnson on 8th May 2020.

If you wish to follow up with any employment, legal or similar issues raised in the video, please contact the AKEPB via [email protected] or NCAB via [email protected].
