Student Officer Profiles

Abeer Ladhani

Secretary-General

Abeer Ladhani has participated in multiple Model United Nations which has equipped her with invaluable skills that can be used in various aspects of her life. She is drawn to the multicultural platform MUN provides as she loves travelling and has visited 20 countries so far. At IYMUN she looks forward to a conference with overarching themes of ethics and pluralism, including distinct debates and discussions and a conference that will set forth a legacy.

Alizain Bulbul

Committee Chair

Alizain Babul has previously been involved in two MUNs as a Delegate, both at Dubai International Academy. He found his passion and interest in politics and international relations through MUN. He hopes his peers see IYMUN as a foundation and a stepping stone to participate in other MUNs regionally and globally.

Ameeqa Qureshi

Committee Chair

Ameeqa Qureshi has been part of MUN previously and has participated in various discussions. Her overall experience has provided her with a platform where she can explore her love for social sciences and passion for eradicating injustice while enhancing the quality of life for individuals. She is also passionate about singing, dancing, and writing. At IYMUN she looks forward to engaging discussions and to pursuing the leadership position of a Student Officer.

Insha Bandeali

Committee Chair

Insha Bandeali has been participated in two MUN conferences as a delegate for the HRC committee. The conference not only helped her overcome her fear of public speaking but also helped her improve her essay writing skills. Insha is the captain of her U16 basketball and netball teams and is in the process of becoming a certified sports leader. She enjoys dancing and plays the guitar, having completed Grade 3 Trinity. At IYMUN she looks forward to learning from the delegates and creating a positive and comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy the conference.

Sara Firdous

Deputy Chair

Sara Firdous has excelled as a leader through various programmes and these experiences inspired her to take on the challenge of becoming a Student Officer at IYMUN. Sara has extensive experience in public speaking and has participated in numerous debate competitions such as the World Scholars Cup and CrossFire 2019. She sees IYMUN as a platform to channel her interest in politics and to improve her critical thinking skills.
