The Aga Khan Health Board for the United Arab Emirates invited the Community Members to celebrate World Gratitude Day and to share with one another what they are grateful for.

Celebrated annually on 21 September, World Gratitude Day is an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate all the blessings in our lives, regardless of our circumstances. Gratitude involves being thankful and appreciative for acts of kindness and support.

Gratitude Day is a reminder for us to focus on the positives in our lives which, in turn, enhance our mental well-being, lift our mood and help combat and reduce stress.

Here are a few easy ways to incorporate gratitude into your daily routine:

• Daily Reflections: Take a moment each day to think about what you are grateful for. This could be anything from your cozy morning coffee to supportive friends
• Writing a Gratitude Journal: List three things you are thankful for each day
• Mindful Moments: Appreciate the simple pleasures of life like a sunny day or a kind gesture
• Express Appreciation: Send a heartfelt note to someone special

Practicing gratitude everyday fosters peace and positivity in our lives.
