FinLit4Kids is a programme that aims to teach financial literacy to our children and youth in the jamat. Created by The Aga Khan Economic Planning Board (AKEPB), in collaboration with City Pay it Forward, a UK charity, the FinLit4Kids programme is designed to raise awareness about the importance of finance and make learning about money fun. Our vision is to inspire a generation of financially savvy, secure and resilient murids.

In the picturesque setting of Tartous on the coast of Syria, the Masar (Pathway) Camp brought together 40 spirited young Ismailis for a transformative seven-day experience.

Through guided heritage tours, the group journeyed through some of the celebrated landmarks in the Walled City of Lahore.

In the vibrant and colourful city of Lahore, different religious and cultural groups have coexisted and flourished for centuries. This made it a fitting location to host a week-long residential programme for young adults entitled ‘Rang - An Arts and Culture Expedition.’

The first-ever residential camp programme for young Ismailis in Syria brought together 40 excited participants for a holistic learning experience promoting growth, friendship, and inspiration.

Global Encounters Camps offer participants a range of service-learning opportunities, leadership preparation, and thoughtful engagement on the pressing issues facing our planet.

After a two-year hiatus, Global Encounters hopes to host in-person residential camps in 2022, to be held in Kenya in June and in India and Pakistan in December.
