The 29th Lisbon Forum, a two-day annual event organised by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe and co-funded by the European Union, took place yesterday at the Ismaili Centre Lisbon. This year's deliberations focussed on the theme “Human Rights, Environment, and Economic Crimes: Youth at the Forefront.”

The Ismaili Centre Lisbon hosted a special celebration this evening to mark a quarter-century since its inauguration. Members of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s family and President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa were present to mark this milestone moment for the Jamat in Portugal.

28 March 2023: At around 11.30 AM today, a man armed with a knife entered the premises of the Ismaili Centre in Lisbon and attacked three people, killing two and injuring the third. The police and security services immediately responded, and the attacker has been taken into custody.

The Ismaili Imamat has acquired the Palacete Leitão located on Rua Marquês da Fronteira in Lisbon. The site is adjacent to the existing Palacete Henrique Mendonça, which on 11 July 2018, was designated by Mawlana Hazar Imam as the Diwan of the Ismaili Imamat.
On 18 December 2019, the Aga Khan Master Musicians with special guest Jasser Haj-Youssef delighted an audience at the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon. They highlighted the unity between different countries and continents, and between the present and the past by exploring various forms of classical, folk, jazz, and contemporary music.
