A grateful and deeply contented British Columbia Jamat bid farewell to Mawlana Hazar Imam on 7 May as Jamati representatives assembled for his departure to Calgary, where he will continue his Diamond Jubilee visit to Canada.
Diamond Jubilee can be summed up in one word for 15 million Ismailis all over the world: celebration. Celebration of our faith, celebration of our Mawla, and celebration of our proud community. And the celebration of 60 years was made 60 times more joyous by none other than the iconic musician duo Salim-Sulaiman, who, with their music made this event, come to life.
Tickets are now on sale for the Jubilee Concert to be held on 5 July at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. The concert, which will mark the beginning of the week-long Diamond Jubilee Celebration, is called “Kings of Rhythm,” and will feature internationally-renowned artists Cheb Khaled and the dynamic duo of Vishal-Shekhar.
