Thousands of Ismailis from Jamats around the world have gathered in Lisbon, Portugal for the launch of an historic celebration, to mark the conclusion of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee.
Pátio Mela will act as a central hub of the DJC, and provides a space to celebrate diversity, creativity, and community, to be open during the day and night. The Jubilee Arts Festivals, held in countries across the world and culminating in the International Arts Festival in Lisbon in the coming days, have engaged the creative talent of the global Jamat for the past year. This is the first undertaking of its kind, bringing together Ismailis from around the world to celebrate art, film, photography, dance, music, and other forms of artistic expression.

Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in London on 25 June 2018 for his Diamond Jubilee visit to the United Kingdom. Upon his arrival, Mawlana Hazar Imam was received by Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the United Nations, Liakat Hasham, President of the Ismaili Council for the UK, and other Jamati leaders. Following a military salute, the Royal Imperial Military Band played the Nashid al-Imamah and the British National Anthem.
