Every year we celebrate special festivals with our Jamat. On these days, we gather with the Jamat to pray and to recite munajats, qasidas and ginans. We listen to the Farmans of Mawlana Hazar Imam and seek his blessings. We give special greetings to our brothers and sisters in the Jamat. And we share with them the happiness of the festivals.

One of the festivals that we celebrate with the Jamat is called Navroz. It falls on the 21 March every year and marks the beginning of the Persian New Year. It is also the time when spring begins in many countries.

Navroz is a time when we welcome the New Year. We make a fresh start in our lives, just like the new leaves, buds, and flowers in spring. We look forward to the New Year with the hope that it will be a happy one.

This particularly story follow 2 boys from Iran and tells how the festivals of Navroz are celebrated by its family. The children learn about the preparation leading to Navroz, and the celebrations that accompany the birth of the New Year.  The children are also introduced to some of the symbolic aspects of Navroz, such as renewal and regeneration.
