We invite all volunteers to participate in the 'General Training: Ismaili Volunteers, Portugal', to be held on March 3rd at the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon. Join this initiative and learn more about the guidelines for practising an excellent volunteer service!

Portuguese

Voluntary service is a secular practice, on which the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim community bases its traditions and culture. In every country where Ismailis are found, they follow the guidelines of Mawlana Hazar Imam in order to carry out this practice with tradition and rigour!

"The Ismailis have a long tradition of philanthropy, self-improvement and voluntary service. Wherever they live, they faithfully respect the Quran's ethic of a common humanity and the dignity of man. On a voluntary basis, they share their knowledge and resources with all those who share our social ethic to help improve the quality of life of less favoured men, women and children."  - Mawlana Hazar Imam, Berlin, Germany, 2005

The members of the Portugal Jamat have been dedicated to following the ethics of voluntary service, under the guidance of Mawlana Hazar Imam, since they settled in Portugal more than 40 years ago, coming from Africa or other parts of the world, bringing with them the commitment, rigour and tradition of voluntary service, passing these values on from generation to generation.

With this in mind, the Jamati Services team would like to invite all volunteers to take part and attend the 'General Training: Ismaili Volunteer Corps, Portugal', to be held at the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon, on March 3rd, from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
It is also with great joy that we share with you that on this day all volunteers will be able to purchase the new volunteer uniforms, approved by Mowalana Hazar Imam, with an associated cost of 10€.

For more information contact the Volunteer Corps coordinator of the Jamatkhana you attend.
