When we pay attention to the darker side of evolution, what do we find? We can certainly find a lot, but one of the most critical aspects: garbage. And that is precisely the starting point which Bordalo II takes to create his latest works, on display until the December 11th Come on, we'll tell you all the details.

Portuguese

The evolution of our societies has led to an exponential production of garbage and pollution that is clogging the channels of this planet. It is the dark side of evolution. Artur Bordalo (grandson of the plastic artist Real Bordalo) decided then to replace evol (from evolution) to evil and name his exhibition – Evilution.

You may have already seen animal sculptures out there using garbage and waste – they are the very popular “Big Trash animals”. The new exhibition includes some of these sculptures, as well as “small trash animals” and a host of new works.

“In "Evilution", the public will be able to see new works from the best-known series, such as "Small trash animals" and "Big trash animals", but also a wide variety of new series of works – with material from the places where the animals' habitat is destroyed, often for intensive exploitation - which people have to see live to understand.

"Evilution", with free entry, will be on display between October 8th and December 11th, at Edu Hub Lisbon. The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, between 14:00 and 20:00, with the last entry at 19:00”. (in sincoticias.pt)
