Our artist Ismael Ali de Unzaga presents himself in Burgos, in a joint exhibition with Rafael Mediavilla on a trip around the world. If you are nearby, pay a visit to this wonderful exhibition. It’s really worth it!

Rafeel Mediavilla focuses his attention on old Europe. His portraits of Rome, Prague, Madrid, Brussels... reflect a photographic memory that he fixes on canvas, in oil, with a super refined technique, and through which emanate the most diverse feelings.

Ismael, who embarked on a fantastic and inspiring trip across the United States during the summer, brought with him an enviable collection of memories and images, accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack full of blues, soul, jazz and rock&roll. Chicago, New Orleans, Memphis were some of his stops, and, always with his very recognizable style, of an urban aesthetic, with the use of a lot of color, and a touch of Pop in all his work, Ismael, takes us on a journey through the United States (with a stopover in Tokyo).

They are two painters with two different ways of seeing the world.

“From old Europe to the United States, passing through Tokyo. In a joint exhibition at Arco de Santa María, Rafael Mediavilla and Ismael Alí de Unzaga converge on the beauty of contrast through their dream journeys.” (at www.elcorreodeburgos.comhttp://www.elcorreodeburgos.com)

The dialogue established by the works of Ismael and Rafael seeks public involvement. They say it’s all about playing, about “making the viewer doubt”. Take a guess! Where were Ismael and Rafael? “We want to see people’s reactions.”

The exhibition is on display until December 10th at the Sala de Exposiciones del Arco de Santa Maria in Burgos. If you're nearby, go pay a visit to Ismael and this beautiful exhibition!
