We can start or end the day by reading or add reading onto a habit that is already embedded into our lives. For example, listening to an audiobook while cooking or walking. Or you can combine it with a social activity, such as joining a virtual book club.

Psychologists have also suggested that reading fiction enhances the ability to detect and understand other people’s emotions, a crucial skill in building relationships. In a world that is increasingly complex and polarised, if we can learn to better understand others, we can create connections that surpass the boundaries of difference.
