Books allow us to access knowledge and wisdom on countless subjects. However, some of us might find it difficult to fit more reading into our lives. We give you some helpful tips.


We can start or end the day by reading or add reading onto a habit that is already embedded into our lives. For example, listening to an audiobook while cooking or walking. Or you can combine it with a social activity, such as joining a virtual book club.

Studies have shown that people who read novels have greater empathy. Psychologists have also suggested that reading fiction enhances the ability to detect and understand other people’s emotions, a crucial skill in building relationships. In a world that is increasingly complex and polarised, if we can learn to better understand others, we can create connections that surpass the boundaries of difference.
