Rays of Light Exhibition- Hunza & Taus, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
The Rays of Light exhibition showcases Mawlana Hazar Imam’s life, vision and contributions towards uplifting the quality of life for individuals around the world. Members of the Pakistan Jamat and community were able to gain insight into the initiatives of the Imamat and its global impact during this unique, experiential journey.

The Aga Khan Foundation is hosting the “Rays of Light” exhibition at the Serena Hotel Islamabad from 2-3 April 2019.
The Aga Khan University hosted “Rays of Light”, a multi-dimensional exhibition dedicated to celebrating 60 years of His Highness the Aga Khan’s efforts in serving humanity, in Pakistan for the first time.
In Islamic tradition, society is encouraged to leave behind a wholesome and sustainable natural environment for those who will inherit the Earth. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) is believed to have said "Even if the end of time is upon you and you have a seedling in your hand, plant it."
A unique international exhibition "Rays of Light" was successfully launched in Pakistan on 23 November 2018. The exhibition is a collection of exclusive images and presentations that gave Jamat a spell bound experience of the work done by Mawlana Hazar Imam for the Jamat and the Ummah over the years.
A unique international exhibition, "Rays of Light", is set to visit Pakistan very shortly. This inspiring and interactive exhibition celebrates the Imamat of Mawlana Hazar Imam and is an unparalled opportunity to experience Mawlana Hazar Imam's vision and untiring efforts for his Jamat over the years. Mawlana Hazar Imam, accompanied by the Noorani family, first inaugurated this groundbreaking photographic and multimedia exhibition in 2008. In July 2018, it was an integral part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Lisbon.
On 14 August 2018, leaders of Jamati institutions, girl guides, boy scouts and members volunteers corps came together in an iconic plantation campaign to commemorate the 71st independence day of Pakistan. More than 1000 pariticpants planted 1600 indigenous plants at different locations in Pakistan.
During Mawlana Hazar Imam's historic visit to Pakistan in December 2017, the Pakistan Post issued commemorative stamps to mark Mawlana Hazar Imam's Diamond Jubilee. The six stamps, denominated Rs10, celebrate the work of the AKDN in Pakistan. The stamps and commerative covers are now available to the Jamat in Pakistan at memorabilia stalls all over the country.
In the depth of winter, with temperatures as low at -17 degrees Celsius, Jamati volunteers have been working to prepare the Darbar site in Garamchashma, Chitral.
The Ismaili Council for Ishkoman Puniyal launched their Diamond Jubilee preparations with an inspirational Cleanliness Initiative, a unique event that saw a thousand members of the Jamat come together to clean and beautify their valley, demonstrating civic responsibilty and mindfulness of the environment.
