Over the years, quality of life (QOL) has gained prominence in research in psychology, marketing, and several other disciplines.

It is the degree, to which an individual is healthy, comfortable, and able to participate in or enjoy life events.

Within the arena of health, quality of life encompasses emotional, physical, material, and social well-being. As the lifespan is increasing over the years, it is important to take better care of yourselves and people around you to enjoy the life years with quality. 

There are certain ways by which you can positively influence the quality of your life in terms of health:

  • Be Grateful, spend 15 to 30 minutes every day listing of what you have to be grateful for.
  • Meditate, do not think about the past and the future, do not dwell on things or worry, just be in the moment. 
  • Do not skip your breakfast; it is the most important meal of the day.
  • Make sure to walk at least 10,000 steps per day, it helps to maintain weight and reduce the risk of heart diseases and diabetes.
  • Drink at least 2 L of water every day.
  • Brush and floss your teeth everyday so you can enjoy the natural tasty treats.
  • Get a good night’s sleep at least 7 hours.
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
  • Get moving; try to exercise at least 20 minutes 5 days a week. Try to add variety to your workouts; you can try walking, Zumba, yoga, swimming, etc.
  • Make time for leisure
