ITREB and Womens Activities Portfolio got together on Saturday, March 12, starting celebrations for Navroz 2022, by teaching and making sherbet with the children from Talim classes.

Mi nombre es Aminaz Mitha. Nací y crecí en Dar es Salam, Tanzania. Pasé mi infancia entre Tanzania y Canadá, donde mi familia exploraba oportunidades comerciales para ofrecernos la mejor vida posible. Completé mi educación primaria y parte de mi educación secundaria en Tanzania.
My name is Aminaz Mitha. I was born and raised in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. My early life consisted of frequent moves back and forth between Tanzania and Canada with my family as they explored business opportunities and sought out the best potential life for our family. I completed my primary and part of my secondary education in Tanzania.

On the occasion of Nowruz/Navroz, today 21st March 2022, we launch the sixth issue of the Spain Jamat Newsletter
At the exact moment of the spring’s equinox – vernal equinox – the sun crosses the celestial equator, marking in the northern hemisphere when day begins to gain ascendancy overnight, and light over darkness. This phenomenon known as Nawruz in Persian, has fascinated humankind for millennia. Spring is a time of renewed life and it holds tremendous symbolic significance in the art, architecture, ritual and literature of many cultures.

En el momento exacto del equinoccio de primavera – equinoccio vernal – el sol cruza el ecuador celeste hacia el hemisferio norte, cuando el día comienza a ganar ascendencia sobre la noche y la luz sobre la oscuridad. Este fenómeno, conocido como Nawruz en persa, ha fascinado a la humanidad durante milenios. La primavera tiene un enorme significado simbólico de renovación, que se ha manifestado a lo largo de la historia en el arte, la arquitectura, los rituales y la literatura de muchas culturas.

Esta semana, os Muçulmanos Ismaili de todo o mundo celebram o Navroz (Nowruz), um festival que marca o início de um novo ano e o primeiro dia da Primavera. Navroz significa um tempo de renovação espiritual e rejuvenescimento físico, bem como um espírito de gratidão pelas bênçãos e uma perspetiva de esperança e otimismo.
This week, Ismaili Muslims worldwide observe Navroz (Nowruz), a festival that marks the beginning of a new year and the first day of spring. Navroz signifies a time of spiritual renewal and physical rejuvenation, as well as a spirit of gratitude for blessings and an outlook of hope and optimism.
في يوم النّيروز تشارك الجماعاتُ الإسماعيليّةُ في جميع أنحاء العالم الناسَ من مختلف الثّقافات، والجماعات الدّينيّة احتفالاتها وبهجتها وتتقاسمُ معها الشّعورَ بالوحدة والانتماء، لاسيّما وأنّ عيد النّيروز احتفل به الفاطميّون عيداً رسميّاً في الدّولة الفاطميّة، وما يزال الإسماعيليّون في جميع أنحاء العالم يحتفلون به بالصّلوات والابتهالات والأدعية والأناشيد وممارسة طقوسه الاجتماعيّة، لاسيّما في لمّ شمل الأسرة، وتقوية الرّوابط الأسريّة والاجتماعيّة. كما أنّ عيد النّيروز في سورية يصادف الاحتفال به مع عيد الأمّ وكلاهما يرمزان إلى الحياة المتجدّدة والعطاء والكرم اللامتناهين.
At a special celebratory event, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo was inaugurated by Filipe Nyusi, President of Mozambique, and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of Portugal, in the presence of Prince Rahim.
The Ismaili eSports & Fitness initiative, which is a Global Encounters program, and under the umbrella of the Jubilee Games will comprise of a multitude of activities that build on each other and culminate in a competitive tournament.
