Guests from the Business and Diplomatic communities joined with leadership and members of the Ismaili Community for a dinner hosted by the Ismaili Centre, Dubai in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to commemorate “World Refugee Day". The theme for this years World Refugee Day is “Hope Away from Home”.
The annual competition provides a platform for the student community from all seven Emirates to develop and express a sense of care and respect for the environment through the medium of art.

The conversation was between Dr, Jennifer Leaning (Senior Research Fellow at the Harvard University FXB Center for Health and Human Rights) and Mr. Hitesh Hathi (Executive Director at the Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute) in relation to a recently published book, co-edited by Dr Leaning, and entitled “The 1947 Partition of British India: Forced Migration and Reverberations”
