Forty-three participants of Hike4Life from Canada, France, UK and the USA took on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The six-day climb commenced 26 December 2007 and by day four, the group reached Kibo Hut at 4 703m. From there, they began the gruelling trek to the summit, which fells many climbers due to altitude sickness. Trekking uphill in the moonlight, 28 participants successfully made it to Gilman‘s Point at 5 681m and 20 braved it on to Uhuru Peak at 5 895m!
