Toronto, 21 September 2016 — Before a distinguished gathering at Toronto’s Koerner Hall, the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson presented Mawlana Hazar Imam with an award bearing her name and representing the convictions that she has long championed.

Romikhudo Dodikhudoev is Tajikistan's only athlete at the 2016 Paralympic Games, which opens in Rio today. He will compete in the Men’s 100 metre and 400 metre races and wants his participation in the Games to be a source of hope for all people with disabilities in his country.

Ottawa, 12 July 2016 — Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 59th Imamat Day was celebrated on Thursday at the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat at a reception organised by the AKDN Resident Representative for Canada. The Honourable Senator Peter Harder addressed the gathering on behalf of the government.

Toronto, 20 May 2016 — At a special ceremony held this evening, the Pontifical Institute for Mediaeval Studies awarded Mawlana Hazar Imam an honorary degree for his service to humanity. The Chancellor of the Institute, His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, the Archbishop of Toronto conferred the degree at St Basil’s Collegiate Church.
