The LIF is a consultative body appointed by Mawlana Hazar Imam. It meets periodically, with Hazar Imam’s consent, to discuss matters of strategic importance to the wellbeing of the global Jamat. At its meeting, the LIF reviewed progress of international programmes, including Global Encounters and efforts to eliminate poverty in the Jamat, among other matters of long-term strategic importance.

Last weekend, the Ismaili Leaders’ International Forum (LIF) met at the Diwan of the Ismaili Imamat in Lisbon, Portugal, for the first time.
