The Portuguese Jamat had an opportunity to showcase their talents at the Pátio Mela. Bem Vindo a Portugal (Welcome to Portugal), featured artists of all ages from across the Portugal jurisdiction Jamat, performing for the audience.

As the Arena doors opened and the audience eagerly began to take their seats, there was an air of excitement among the concert-goers. The night began with a special performance from the Portuguese Fado singer, Cuca Roseta, who delighted the audience with her powerful voice and the melodies of her accomplished band. Following the first performance, Cheb Khaled, the Algeria-born artist famous for his songs Aicha, Didi, and C'est la vie, took the stage and energised the audience with songs performed in French, Spanish, and Arabic, much to everyone’s delight. Vishal-Shekar, the dynamic Bollywood duo thrilled the crowds to close the concert.

Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in Lisbon this afternoon to mark the conclusion of his Diamond Jubilee year, commemorating 60 years of his Imamat. Upon his arrival at the airport, Mawlana Hazar Imam was presented with military honours by the Air Base Commander and was greeted by state and government officials as well as leaders of the Jamat and the Aga Khan Development Network.
Launching the first day of the weeklong Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Lisbon, the Kings of Rhythm concert energised the Jamat gathered in Lisbon from around the world.
The unique occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration (DJC) has illustrated the diversity and unity of the Ismaili community, as well as their commitment to serve. As part of the DJC registration process, thousands of volunteers from all over the world came forward and expressed their desire to contribute their time and energy for this historic event.
