A delegation from the Ismaili Council for Afghanistan travelled to Bamyan to celebrate Salgirah in December 2018

A delegation from the Ismaili Council for Afghanistan travelled to Bamyan in December 2018 to join the Jamat there in celebrating the occasion of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 82nd birthday.

Prince Aly Muhammad visits a local chicken farm owned by Mr Kalyikul Ysyraliev. As a graduate of UCA’s Entrepreneurship Programme, Mr Ysraliev built his first greenhouse in 2013 with the support of a loan from the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank and UCA, and has been supplying chickens, eggs, as well as vegetables and roses to the local community for the past five years.

Earlier this month, Prince Aly Muhammad completed a five-day, private visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, during which he visited the Naryn campus of the University of Central Asia. Prince Aly Muhammad spent time with students in Naryn to understand more about their backgrounds and aspirations.

The state-of-the-art 141-bed facility places particular emphasis on the needs of women and children, and represents a new chapter for the Bamyan Provincial Hospital. AKDN / Kiana Hayeri

Bamyan, Afghanistan, 24 April 2017 — Princess Zahra and Vice President Sarwar Danesh opened a 141-bed hospital facility today. Emphasising the health of mothers and children, the facility expands Bamyan Provincial Hospital’s capacity to deliver much needed services in obstetrics and gynecology, paediatrics and surgery.

Bishkek, 18 October 2016 — His Excellency Almazbek Atambayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic decorated Mawlana Hazar Imam with the Order of Danaker, the highest recognition that the Kyrgyz nation can bestow upon a foreign citizen.

In a historic ceremony held this morning, Mawlana Hazar Imam and the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic inaugurated the Naryn campus of the University of Central Asia — the first of three residential campuses being constructed in the high mountains of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
