Hangzhou, China, 15 May 2013 – Mawlana Hazar Imam delivered the keynote address today at the Hangzhou International Congress "Culture: Key to Sustainable Development" organised by UNESCO, the People’s Republic of China and the Hangzhou Municipal Government.

Urumxi, China, 4 April 2012 – Mawlana Hazar Imam paid an official visit to Urumxi, China from 2–4 April 2012, at the invitation of the Governor of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Mr Nur Bekri, to discuss collaboration between the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and the Government of Xinjiang.

Dushanbe, 22 October 2011 – US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited the Ismaili Centre, Dushanbe today, where she held a town hall meeting to help promote the US-sponsored New Silk Road Initiative. 

Nineteen projects were shortlisted for the 11th cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. The Awrad ceremony will take place in November, 2010 in Doha.

In May 2010, the Aga Khan Award for Architecture announced the shortlist for its 11th award cycle at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Selected from over 400 nominees, the 19 projects, spanning 16 countries, range from a small private residence in India to the conservation of an Ottoman town in Albania.
