At the Science Museum in London, attendees participate in challenges and games that explore the role of technology in the future.

In an effort to better understand the mysteries of the cosmos, and taking-off into its second year, Space Camp — an initiative of the Aga Khan Education Board (UK) — took 32 young participants from across the UK on an unforgettable space mission.

The Houston branch is the third largest Consular Corps in the United States after Washington, DC and New York City. On Friday, June 7, 2019, the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center hosted the inaugural Houston Consular Corps luncheon in Sugar Land, Texas. Over 90 countries were represented to engage in discussions on economic development by fostering foreign relations. Amongst the attendees were guest speakers Fort Bend County Judge KP George, Ambassador Juan B. Sosa, Consul General of Panama and Dean of the Consular Corps of Houston, and Jeffrey C. Wiley, President & CEO of the Fort Bend Economic Development Council.

The Leadership Training Program (LTP), an initiative of the National Council for the USA, was designed to inspire and empower the leaders of tomorrow. At the end of June 2019, twenty-nine attendees from Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Syria participated in the final session of the program. LTP created encouraged participants in ways to contribute to the progress of the Jamat both in the US and their countries of origin.

Texas students and young professionals get an inspiring glimpse into life and opportunities as a public servant.

On a brisk February morning, Ismaili young professionals and students from across Texas converged in Austin for a day-long visit to the Capitol building. Throughout their visit, the group met with a host of public officials including five State Representatives, the Texas Railroad Commissioner and Secretary of State. It was an opportunity to hear both the day-to-day travails and the long term vision of those in public service.

As we sat in a bakery at London’s South Kensington waiting for our tea and cakes, I couldn't help but sense how composed the young woman sitting opposite me was. In Nabila Tejpar’s profession however, I sensed that staying calm under pressure came with the job. It wasn't every day that you met a young Ismaili woman who was taking the UK rally driving scene by storm.
