Mandarins grow in the Ismaili Centre's Garden of Fruits, which also includes other species, along with their rich colours and scents.

On a sunny weekend earlier this summer, the gardens at the Ismaili Centre in Lisbon, along with other flourishing green spaces in the surrounding area, participated in the third edition of the Open Gardens Festival, welcoming visitors, and sharing its diverse flora with the public. 

World Teachers’ Day is celebrated in over 100 countries around the world on 5 October every year.

The Women’s Committee of the Ismaili Council for Afghanistan hosted an event on 8 October 2018 in Kabul to coincide with World Teachers’ Day. The day’s programme brought together over 80 students and 10 volunteer teachers from various Jamatkhanas across Kabul.

The Afghan Jamat staged a National Arts Festival to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Mawlana Hazar Imam.

The Ismaili Council for Afghanistan established two Elderly Care Centres in Kabul in 2011, now hosting 85 Male and Female elderly residents. The project was undertaken in response to the Golden Jubilee goal of taking care of the elderly members of the community.
