Honourable Governor Shri E.S.L. Narasimhan presents Mawlana Hazar Imam with a gift at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of his visit to Hyderabad.

On the eighth day of his Diamond Jubilee visit to India, Mawlana Hazar Imam met with Honourable Shri E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Earlier this month, the Rt Hon Greg Clark MP joined the Ismaili Muslim community for the launch of the Big Iftar 2015 at the Ismaili Centre, London. The Big Iftar is a national initiative supported by the United Kingdom government that promotes neighbourliness, strengthening of community relations and sharing.

London, 11 June 2015 — The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, together with other invited guests, joined the Ismaili Muslim community for the launch of the Big Iftar 2015 at the Ismaili Centre, London.

During his visit to India earlier this month, Mawlana Hazar Imam and his family visited the Qutb Shahi Heritage Park, where conservation work is being carried out by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. Days earlier, Hazar Imam and and his family had toured Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi.

Members of the British Parliament invited the Ismaili Muslim community to mark the festival of Navroz at the Houses of Parliament last month. The fourth annual Navroz reception took place on 17 March in the Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons.
