Mawlana Hazar Imam travelled to India in February 2018 for his Diamond Jubilee visit.

The Jamat in India is all set to welcome Mawlana Hazar Imam for a historic Diamond Jubilee visit to India to commence on 20 February 2018. Festivities have been taking place across the country, including decorating Jamatkhana buildings, traditional dandia-raas, and other cultural events and highlights, reflecting the Jamat’s excitement and unity in anticipation for the visit.

Over the past decades, Mawlana Hazar Imam has visited India to meet with the country’s leaders, review the progress of Aga Khan Development Network initiatives, and launch new projects. This photo gallery showcases some of his visits over the years.

During his visit to India earlier this month, Mawlana Hazar Imam and his family visited the Qutb Shahi Heritage Park, where conservation work is being carried out by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. Days earlier, Hazar Imam and and his family had toured Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi.
