On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8 March 2019, we celebrate the achievements of notable Muslim women - historical and contemporary - who have inspired and continue to inspire people of all faiths, backgrounds, and fields of endeavour.
The Ismaili Centre, London, in collaboration with the Institute of Ismaili Studies will host a conversation with Dr Shainool Jiwa, the author, with Mahmood Ahmed about her new publication. The World of the Fatimids, the newest exhibition at the Aga Khan Museum, launched on 12 March in Toronto. Prince Amyn delivered the keynote address for the opening of the exhibition, which explores the Fatimid period through artefacts and objects from the 10th and 11th centuries.
Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in Montreal on Monday evening for the last portion of his visit to Eastern Canada. He was greeted by Jamati leadership from Montreal and Ottawa upon his arrival.
Mawlana Hazar Imam departed Ottawa, and travelled to Toronto to meet with the Jamat there.
