The United Nations is an intergovernmental organisation responsible for maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, achieving international cooperation, and being a centre for harmonising the actions of nations.

The Ismaili had the opportunity to speak with four Ismaili women working at the United Nations (UN) to learn about their careers, their work, and the role of the UN over its 74 year history. 

Mental health conditions often go undetected and unreported, as people can be reluctant to seek assistance.

Mental health is similar to physical health — everybody has it and should take care of it. When we reflect about our health in general, it is important to include the health of our minds as well as the health of our bodies in our thinking, plans, and conversations. Diabetes is a lifelong condition, for which there is currently no cure, although scientists are undertaking pioneering research into care, treatment, and prevention. In recent years, the prevalence of diabetes has been rising more rapidly in the developing world.
