Princess Zahra attended a special event to celebrate partnerships between the Aga Khan University and Portuguese institutions of Higher Education.

The Aga Khan University's Board of Trustees welcomed representatives from Portugal’s government, Higher Education institutions, and leaders of the Jamat and Aga Khan Development Network to a special event in Lisbon on 13 April 2019.

Mawlana Hazar Imam attended an event to celebrate the Aga Khan University's partnerships in Portugal, at which Mr Carlos Moedas, the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation (left), delivered the keynote address.

At a special dinner hosted in Lisbon on 13 April 2019, the Aga Khan University (AKU) celebrated its partnership with Portuguese universities on research and development initiatives. The event was attended by Mawlana Hazar Imam and Princess Zahra.

Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa share a light moment along with AKU President Firoz Rasul, Ismaili Council for USA President Dr. Barkat Fazal and Dr. Saida Rasul, during a lab tour at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa attended two ceremonies in Seattle this week, during which the Aga Khan University (AKU) signed memorandums of understanding with two American institutions. 

Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa arrive in Gahkuch, Punial Valley, Ghizer District in Gilgit-Baltistan. During their stay in Gahkuch, Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa visited the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Gahkuch, which is operated by the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES).

Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa travelled to Pakistan for a six-day working visit in late October 2018, which included stops in several districts of Gilgit-Baltistan as well as in Chitral district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, along with the capital city of Islamabad and the southern city of Karachi.

During their visit to Pakistan in October 2018, Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa examined approaches to poverty alleviation and development, and visited a number of AKDN institutions and projects aimed at improving quality of life.
