Chorshanbe Alovatov from Tajikistan says that music has been a passion since early childhood.

Music college graduate and second-generation singer in his family, Chorshanbe Alovatov from Tajikistan won the popular Central Asia’s Got Talent show final on 22 December 2019. The show, which toured four countries in the region, culminated in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The 2019 Aga Khan Music Awards will conclude with a gala concert and prize-giving ceremony on Sunday 31 March in Lisbon, Portugal. Each of the Laureates will perform at the event, after which His Excellency President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and Mawlana Hazar Imam will present the awards. On the third day of the inaugural Aga Khan Music Awards, eminent figures in the realm of arts and music came together to participate in discussions relating to the concept, vision, and impact of the Awards. At a momentous and celebratory event held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, the Aga Khan Music Awards reached a crescendo, as His Excellency President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Mawlana Hazar Imam, and Prince Amyn awarded prizes to ten laureates, representing 13 countries around the world.
