President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, visits the exhibition “Ismaili Centre Lisbon: 20 Years Celebrating Pluralism” along with guests and leaders of the Jamat and AKDN.

Leaders of the Jamat and AKDN, volunteers, and the Aga Khan Scouts, warmly welcomed His Excellency the President of Portugal to the Ismaili Centre Lisbon, to celebrate the building’s 20th anniversary.

President of the Ismaili Council for Portugal, Rahim Firozali, offers a replica Ismaili Centre tile to the President of the Portuguese Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. ,

His Excellency the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, attended a celebratory event at the Ismaili Centre Lisbon in December to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its opening.

Society Mr. Salim Lalani and directors of society, Mukhisaheb - Kamadiasaheb and other dignitaries.

Yavatmal District in Maharashtra was facing drought during the last year due to insufficient rainfall and there was heavy scarcity of drinking water in the area. Keeping this in mind the Board of Directors of The Ismailia Urban Credit Co-Operative Society Ltd. Yavatmal started a project to provide safe and pure RO filtered drinking water at minimal cost not only to Yavatmal Jamat but to all communities in the area.

 

The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), Bangladesh celebrated the 61st anniversary of the ascension of Mawlana Hazar Imam to the Ismaili Imamat. The event also marked the conclusion of year-long commemoration of the Diamond Jubilee of Hazar Imam, which culminated in a global celebrations, including an address by Hazar Imam to Portugal’s members of Parliament, and the establishment of the new Seat of the Ismaili Imamat in Lisbon, Portugal.
