Prince Hussain presents a photograph to Mawlana Hazar Imam and President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa at The Living Sea photo exhibition in Lisbon.

Mawlana Hazar Imam and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa today enjoyed a tour of Prince Hussain’s photo exhibition at the National Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon.

The Living Sea exhibition features over 100 photographs depicting the beauty, fragility, and diversity of marine life, reflecting Prince Hussain’s ecological and environmental concerns. It represents a collaboration between Portugal’s National Museum of Natural History and Science, the University of Lisbon, and Focused on Nature.

The Living Sea exhibition featured photographs of marine life including dolphins, sea lions, sharks, whales, turtles, and other creatures.

In Lisbon last month, Prince Hussain inaugurated his photo exhibition entitled The Living Sea at Portugal’s National Museum of Natural History and Science. Prince Hussain was joined by Ms Elizabeth Hoag (now Princess Fareen), Prince Amyn, Prince Rahim, and Princess Salwa.

World Teachers’ Day is celebrated in over 100 countries around the world on 5 October every year.

The Women’s Committee of the Ismaili Council for Afghanistan hosted an event on 8 October 2018 in Kabul to coincide with World Teachers’ Day. The day’s programme brought together over 80 students and 10 volunteer teachers from various Jamatkhanas across Kabul.

To commemorate International Day of the Girl Child, we look back at the Skate Girls of Kabul photography exhibition, created by artist Jessica Fulford-Dobson, and curated by Marianne Fenton. The exhibit was showcased at the Ismaili Centre Toronto, Aga Khan Museum, and Aga Khan Park in Autumn 2017, and at the Ismaili Centre Dubai in Spring 2018.
