Thousands of spectators gathered to support participants at the DJSF National Games in Islamabad

Pakistan’s Diamond Jubilee Sports Festival (DJSF) recently reached its apex with an iconic National Games at the Jinnah Complex in Islamabad. Over 1,300 athletes from eight regions in the country competed for medals in 17 different sports, cheered on and supported by thousands more.

Accompanied by the Chairman of AKHS, India and members of the Prince Aly Khan Hospital management team, Princess Zahra tours the Aga Hall Estate — the grounds on which the hospital stands.

Princess Zahra Aga Khan arrived in Mumbai on 19 February to visit the Prince Aly Khan Hospital. The hospital is undergoing an expansion, and Princess Zahra toured the facility and reviewed its plans in her capacity as Chair of the Steering Committee for its redevelopment.

At a banquet in San Francisco on 26 April, Mawlana Hazar Imam was presented with the 2011 University of California San Francisco Medal. The prestigious recognition builds on existing collaborations between the UCSF and AKDN, and particularly the University’s support for training and research programmes at the Aga Khan University.
