The family unit nurtures the lives of its members, assisting them in their physical and spiritual endeavours. The wellbeing of individuals, in-turn, contributes to the overall health of the family, and that of society at large.
Mental health is similar to physical health — everybody has it and should take care of it. Diabetes is a lifelong condition, for which there is currently no cure, although scientists are undertaking pioneering research into care, treatment, and prevention. In recent years, the prevalence of diabetes has been rising more rapidly in the developing world.
Worldwide, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer, and can affect up to one in eight women. Like some other forms of cancer, the condition is treatable, and over 90 per cent of cases are successfully treated when detected early. Men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer in rare instances, with approximately one out of every 100 cases affecting men.
