The family unit nurtures the lives of its members, assisting them in their physical and spiritual endeavours. The wellbeing of individuals, in-turn, contributes to the overall health of the family, and that of society at large.

Raju Bhai Kotadia (name changed) was a troubled man – besides the usual issues such as weather dependence, market prices and input availability that one would normally associate a farmer with, he was very concerned about damage to his crops by stray animals. Most nights he would stay up guarding his field from damage by these animals to which he sometimes lost as much as 30% of his produce.
When the Ismaili Muslim community was invited to assist with the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, volunteers took on numerous roles, including hosting the delegation of athletes and coaches from Bangladesh.
