The Ismaili Imamat’s donation of the Da Vinci surgical equipment introduces cutting-edge, robotics-assisted technology for performing advanced operations on patients at the Central University Hospital in Portugal. Surgical robots are used in various medical specialties as extensions of a surgeon's hand, allowing for greater precision and less invasive surgical procedures.

His Excellency Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa conveys his gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam at a ceremony to recognise the gifting, by the Ismaili Imamat, of robotic surgical equipment at the Curry Cabral Hospital in Lisbon.

Mawlana Hazar Imam and President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa attended a special ceremony in Lisbon today, 8 November, to inaugurate the Ismaili Imamat’s donation of a Da Vinci surgical system to the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central.

So as to help 8th and 9th grade students to make informed decisions about career choices, AKEB organised an event entitled Vocational Guidance.

Selecting a field of study or a career path is one of the most challenging decisions to make. On 25 October, the Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB) for Portugal welcomed various age groups to the Ismaili Centre, Lisbon for two Speed Mentoring events, entitled “New Perspectives, Different Horizons” and “Vocational Guidance.”

Mediation provides an ideal environment for an honest dialogue that can lead to apology and forgiveness.

Mediation Week is recognised in countries around the world every October to highlight the value of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a constructive and cost-effective alternative to litigation. This year, the Ismaili International Conciliation and Arbitration Board (ICAB) have prepared a series of six videos that provide information about mediation and the CAB system, as well as other areas of mediation and conflict management.
