ESF 2019 is an opportunity to meet old friends and new, from across the UK and Europe. It is an opportunity to compete across a variety of sports. It is an opportunity for us all to unite as One Jamat and share in a weekend of sporting, health & wellbeing activities, entertainment and voluntary service. 

We hope in particular to see many of our brothers and sisters from across Europe participate fully at this year’s Festival. 

ESF will be followed with 2 sports Camps in Germany & Scandinavia later this year, during which those who may not be able to travel to the UK will be able to participate.

We encourage all volunteers from our European Jamats to Meet, Compete & Unite and register to volunteer at this year’s festival.

Accommodation Packages 

The following packages have been designed especially for the European members of the Jamat:

N.B. Please note that ensuite accommodation (single room) will be provided in the Halls of Residence

Should European participants wish to book their own accomodation, they are able to opt out of the European package and apply to play sports seperately. 

Accommodation at halls of residence is available for European participants arriving on Thursday 18 April 2019, for a contribution of £40. Those who require Thursday night accommodation should inform their local ESF representative or email [email protected]. A payment link will be sent to those requesting Thursday night accommodation, in due course. 

Transport from point of arrival in the UK to the University of Nottingham

Country leads have been appointed to help organise transport for European participants to the University of Nottingham after their arrival in the United Kingdom. Please contact your local representative for further information once you have made your travel arrangements:

We recommend participants to book their transport as soon as possible as prices will increase as we approach ESF 2019. For those who will be travelling to the University of Nottingham from London rather than from an airport, transport will be available from selected London Jamatkhanas at a cost of £15 one way or £25 for a return journey (subject to demand) on the morning of 19 April 2019. This can be requested when completing your registration.

Additional arrangements for transport can be organised (subject to demand) for participants arriving in the UK on Thursday 18 April 2019 and for those arriving from Birmingham or East Midlands airport.
