As part of the inaugural Jubilee Arts International Arts Festival, Lisbon will play host to the International Film Festival this July, presenting the diversity and talented work of filmmakers from around the world.

Ever wanted to experience the thrill of a red carpet event? Well, look no further than the International Film Festival (IFF) at the inaugural Jubilee Arts International Arts Festival, which will launch with a red carpet showcase of the IFF filmmakers, and their professional counterparts.

The film festival will take place at NOS Cinema within the Vasco da Gama Mall in Lisbon, which houses 170 stores, six cinemas, and a health club, an ideal venue to showcase our talented filmmakers in a way that will be exciting and interesting to festival patrons.

Want to go behind-the-scenes? You’ll have the opportunity to learn about what goes on before, during, and after film production; and hear from both professional and amateur filmmakers about their experiences in the industry during moderated panel sessions at the IFF.

For months, our National Arts Festivals have been showcasing Ismaili filmmakers from over 28 countries. Not only will you be able to experience the talent of some of these filmmakers at the IFF, but you’ll also have the chance to create your own masterpieces in workshops such as Children's Animation, where youngsters aged 6-12 can create their own stop-motion and cut-out animation. While in the Short Filmmaking workshop, participants new to film will learn about the history and approaches to filmmaking, as well as the basic skills of the discipline; and will then have the opportunity to create a short film in a small group setting.

Be sure to attend these and other exciting events during the International Film Festival this summer in Lisbon!
