Mawlana Hazar Imam departed Atlanta today for the second stop of his Diamond Jubilee visit to the United States of America. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who earlier had issued a letter welcoming Hazar Imam and the Jamat to Atlanta, was at the airport to bid him farewell together with Jamati leaders.

At the official invitation of city and state government leaders, Mawlana Hazar Imam visited Atlanta from 13-18 March 2018. On March 14, Governor Nathan Deal presented Hazar Imam with a State Proclamation recognizing 60 years of Hazar Imam’s dedication toward improving the human condition and his impact around the world.

While in Atlanta, Mawlana Hazar Imam spent considerable time with the Jamat who had gathered from several regions across the United States.
