Vaccination is a simple, safe, and effective way of protecting people against harmful diseases, before they come into contact with them. We now have vaccines to prevent more than 20 life-threatening diseases, helping people of all ages, live longer and healthier lives.

Typhoid vaccine can prevent typhoid fever. People who are actively ill with typhoid fever and people who are carriers of the bacteria that cause typhoid fever can both spread the bacteria to other people. To prevent typhoid, the Health Committee had organized a vaccination program for the jamati members of Dhaka and Chittagong. The jamat grabbed the opportunity to get the vaccine shot, registered themselves and got vaccinated on 25th of August 2023. This vaccine is taken every 3 years.

Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year. To prevent flu and for the betterment of the jamat, the Health Committee had organized a vaccination program for the jamati members of Dhaka and Chittagong which was held on 29th of September 2023. This vaccine is taken every year.
