As a part of the “Celebrate Life” campaign the National Council for Bangladesh held their 5th program to bring more awareness about mental health between the jamat, which was for jamat above 14 years on 24th November 2023. The session was taken by Ms. Anita Ali (Case Manager for Ismaili Council for Canada). The session contained detailed information about mental health and impact of bad habits which can further cause much impairment in a person’s life. Ms. Anita gave the jamat a brief information on how to control particular bad habits which can cause distress in a human’s daily life and on how to lead a healthy life by simply following healthy habits. Few of the jamat had very curious question to which Ms. Anita gave much detailed and explained answers which helped them to detour their problems. The program ended with a fun raffle draw were very interesting gifts and vouchers was given to 5 lucky winners.
The jamat attended the program with much anticipation and gained much wider knowledge about mental health, healthy habits and how to control bad habits and seek help when needed which will help the jamati members to make small changes for a better life and in conclusion a better future. The way towards Healthy and Active wellbeing is to focus on making the healthy choice at any given moment, rather than postponing the things that are must to be done in the long term.
