October 20, 2017 - Members of the Jamat were invited to a seminar on non-communicable and infectious diseases at Central Jamatkhana in Kabul, Afghanistan. The event was organised by the Health Committee of the National Council in coordination with the Women’s committee and Ismaili Volunteer Corps.

Over 800 members of the jamat, including men and women of different ages came together to participate in the seminar, which included speeches on health and other matters by Mir Ahmad Joyenda, President of the National Council, and Dr. Habibuddin Faqiryar, Chair of the Health Committee.

Dr. Saifuddin Himat, Dr. Jamal Naser Naipai, and Najeeba Zafari presented talks on Hypertension, Cardiovascular disease, and Hepatitis B respectively, and certificates of appreciation were presented to volunteers for their service at the Diamond Jubilee celebration events on 11th July.

The event will be followed by further health seminars to help the Jamat live healthier, happier lives.
